Ishan Kishan’s shot bludgeoned Rohit Sharma’s pads during the current IPL 2023 match between the Mumbai Indians (MI) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The youthful player hit a powerful ball that went straight to the non-striker’s end. But even from the outset of the game, Rohit almost suffered an injury at the hands of his own teammate. After the ball struck him, both Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma grinned at the captain.

In the current game against SRH, Rohit Sharma reached the milestone of 6000 runs in the IPL. He joined Shikhar Dhawan, David Warner, and Virat Kohli as the fourth player to reach the mark. The most of any of the four batters to reach the milestone, 3880 of those runs came for Rohit as a non-opener. In the fifth over, Natarajan ultimately struck out the right-hander.
After losing their first two games of the IPL 2023, MI enters their match against SRH with a winning streak of three games. And Hyderabad has experienced the same thing. In the points standings, the two clubs are currently eighth and ninth, respectively. Mumbai Indians will be trying to set a lofty goal in order to continue their winning streak in the competition.
